SERMONS (2009)

Gary and Wendy both have deep roots in the Worldwide Church of God (GCI). Both families began attending services in 1965, but on opposite sides of the world – Toronto and Johnnesburg!
Both went to Ambassador College, though at different times.

When they met at a denominational conference in California in 2005, Wendy was serving as the National Coordinator of the church in South Africa, while Gary was the National Director here in Canada. They married in 2006, and then spent a year serving the work in Africa. Wendy continued in her role until a suitable candidate could be found to replace her in South Africa, while Gary was on loan by WCG Canada to help with pastoral training of the many lay pastors in southern Africa. They returned to Canada July 1st, 2007.

As they visit our Canadian congregations Wendy often presents powerpoint pictures of the various mission projects that our fellowship in Canada now supports. This in turn has lead to an even greater desire to build mission links between Canada and Africa. Wendy’s passion for Jesus Christ, and her special concern for the people of Africa has been inspiring to many.

Gary continues in his role as National Director here in Canada, but also serves as a Mission Developer for Africa (along with Kalengule Kaoma) on behalf of the denomination.

They are delighted to be visiting the Edmonton area, and joining in with brethren from various parts of Alberta for a weekend of worship and fellowship.
