Pastor Robert J. Millman
Pastor Bob Millman was born in Bristol, England. He attended Ambassador University in the UK and finished his degree program at the Pasadena, California campus. He entered full time ministry in Vancouver, B.C. and together with his wife, Gail, pastored in Kamloops - Salmon Arm, B.C., Westlock - Athabasca - Fort McMurray, AB., Red Deer - Wetaskiwin, AB., Regina - Moosomin, SK, and Edmonton, AB.
Bob and Gail shared 29 years of ministry, raised four children and enjoyed four grand children. Gail died in 2002 after a twenty-three year struggle with hepatitis C, contracted from tainted blood.
Bob married again in 2005 to Sonia Marie Fushtey and together they enjoy
life and ministry, living in a warm home shared with two precocious cats.
Sonia works full time at a graphic design company and enjoys web site development. In her spare time, she maintains and expands the Edmonton web site and helps with the congregations' weekly "sermon on line" production. Sonia's father,
mother, and older sister are also members of the Edmonton congregation.
Pastor Bob's personal mission statement is the same as the Edmonton congregation: "Seeking, Living and Sharing New Life in Christ". He is committed to promoting the ministry of all believers, knowing that the church is the body of Jesus Christ that grows as each member contributes. Bob enjoys "traveling cheap", cheering for the Edmonton Oilers, and is learning to cook. When not preaching, he likes to lead worship with the enthusiastic young adults. He stays current by attending seminars and conferences, and taking graduate classes related to ministry. He serves as
the provincial coordinator for Grace Communion International (formerly known as the "Worldwide Church of God") youth camps and activities, and is on the board of Friends of Silver Meadows Camp. He is a supporter of Kids on Track, an outreach ministry of People's Pentecostal Church, serving pre teens at risk through Christian education and activities. He also serves on the board of The Counselling Center, a non profit Christian Counselling center making affordable Counselling available to those in need.
The Edmonton congregation meets Saturdays, 11:00am at People's Church, 15641-96 Avenue, in Edmonton. Small group meetings, prayers meetings and bible classes are conducted in various locations.
